About ThermaSeat

ThermaSeat is a true story of the American Dream. A little over 30 years ago, current President and Owner Peter Luccisano was preparing for his annual hunting trip to the Berkshire Mountains in western Massachusetts. Anyone who has hunted in these conditions knows that the climate can be harsh and comfort and warmth are necessities. As Peter was packing his gear, he noticed a tear in his traditional “hotseat,” which caused Styrofoam pellets to spill all over the floor—something many of us can relate to.

At the time, Peter was in the construction business and had some leftover closed-cell foam from a job. He decided to glue the foam together to create a makeshift seat for his hunting trip. That improvised solution worked so well that it marked the beginning of ThermaSeat.

Over the past 30 years, ThermaSeat has significantly expanded its product line. We have successfully overcome challenges from lower-quality imports and knock-offs, maintaining our commitment to quality and innovation. Throughout our growth, we have remained a family-owned and operated business, dedicated to providing top-quality products to use in hunting, fishing, at the stadium, and more.

All of our products are designed, developed, and manufactured in the small mountain town of Peterborough, NH. This commitment to local manufacturing ensures that every ThermaSeat product meets the highest standards of quality and durability. Made in the USA

From 1985 to 2006, all ThermaSeat brand items were proudly manufactured in the USA. However, due to the rise of lesser quality, lower-priced knock-offs, we faced a significant loss of customers, which forced us to move a portion of our manufacturing to China. During the six years from 2006 to 2012, we struggled with the subpar quality of products coming from overseas factories, which did not meet our high standards.

In 2012, we made the pivotal decision to return to our roots and bring all manufacturing back to the USA. This move allowed us to guarantee the quality of every product we offer and ensure that our customers receive the superior craftsmanship they expect from the ThermaSeat brand.
